How to Edit Your Package & User Resource Limits via CloudLinux Manager (For Resellers)

If you're a reseller with access to CloudLinux Manager in WHM, you can easily manage and adjust the resource allocations (RAM, CPU, I/O, etc.) for your hosting packages and individual cPanel users. Follow the steps below to configure your settings properly.

1. Accessing CloudLinux Manager

To get started, log in to your WHM panel. From the left-hand sidebar, scroll down to the Plugins section and click on CloudLinux Manager.

2. CloudLinux Manager Overview

Once you're inside CloudLinux Manager, you'll see an overview dashboard that includes tabs like Users, Packages, and Statistics. These are the key areas for managing your hosting limits.

3. Navigate to the "Packages" Section

To edit the configuration of any of your packages, click on the "Packages" tab in the top menu.

4. Click the Pencil Icon to Edit a Package

Find the package you want to modify and click the pencil icon under the "Actions" column.

5. Add Your Desired Resource Limits

Now you can set your preferred limits for:

  • CPU cores

  • RAM (Memory)

  • I/O

  • Entry processes

  • Number of processes

Important: Before making changes, check your maximum allowed resource allocation limits here:

6. Save the Package Configuration

Once you've updated the values, click the "Save" button.

7. Done!

Your new resource configuration has been saved to the selected package. Any users on this package will now automatically receive the updated limits.

8. Editing an Individual cPanel User's Resources

If you want to customize limits for a single user instead of a full package, go to the "Users" tab in CloudLinux Manager.

9. Click the Pencil Icon Next to the User

Find the user you want to modify and click the pencil icon to open their resource settings.

10. Enter New Resource Limits

Adjust the user’s specific CPU, RAM, I/O, and other limits as needed.

11. Save Changes

Click "Save" and you’re all set — the user’s resources will be updated immediately.

12. Why You Might See a Red Warning

Sometimes, user rows in the CloudLinux Manager show up in red. This typically happens when the user's resource limits differ from the current package configuration.
For example, if your maximum RAM allocation is 16GB, and your package is set to 8GB, but you manually update a user to 16GB, it will show as red.

Don’t worry — this won’t cause any functional issues. It’s just a visual mismatch warning.
